Chelsea Clinton Rips Ivanka and Her Father for ‘The Guardian’

Chelsea Clinton is sandwiched between two parents who a large number of people hate. To Republicans, Bill was the enemy. To many women, he is a predator. As for Mrs. Clinton, well — people on the Right, let’s just say, aren’t super psyched about her.

Nevertheless, the daughter of Slick Willie and Hostile Hillary had some biting words for Ivanka Trump recently, because her dad is bad.

Clinton sat down with The Guardian in Manhattan to let the condescension fly.

The interview took place just days after Ivanka opened the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. Protests had ensued, leading to deaths.

So, wrote the reporter:

“I ask if Clinton feels any sympathy for the first daughter, obliged to do her father’s grotesque bidding, or considers her complicit. Her expression hardens.”

I’m gonna do that again:

“I ask if Clinton feels any sympathy for the first daughter, obliged to do her father’s grotesque bidding, or considers her complicit. Her expression hardens.”

Yes — they really printed that: she’s doing “her father’s grotesque bidding” by taking part in the American Embassy moving to Jerusalem. Journalism at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.

Chelsea responded:

“She’s an adult. She can make the choices for herself. I mean, she’s 36. We are responsible for our choices. In 2008 I was really proud to support my mom — but I disagreed with her fundamentally on a few things, particularly her then opposition to equal marriage rights for LGBTQ Americans. I never defended that position, because it wasn’t what I believed was the right thing to do.”

At least The Guardian admitted both young ladies come from prvilege:

“Ivanka and Chelsea used to be friends, and seemed to have much in common: famous and powerful parents; young families and busy jobs in Manhattan.”

But then:

“She has no sympathy whatsoever for Trump’s children. ‘They’re adults who’ve made the decision to work in this administration.’”

No sympathy. For the gross decision of working for our grotesque president.

What would have happened, had a major news organization offered a piece such as this, about the Obama administration?

Chelsea continued, with a surprising claim:

“[Those who oppose Bill and Hillary] have been fed the narrative that they were trafficking children, or drugs, or some other heinous crime.”

Huh??

Yahoo Lifestyle, like RedState, covered the interview. As for the above accusation, YL ended with this:

“How does she handle it? She tries to rise above it.”

Nice.

I wonder when left-wing news sites will wax philosophic about Ivanka rising above the criticism. First, I suppose, they’ll have to stop providing it.

Bonus:

Chelsea’s more specific castigation of Trump, for good measure:

“She used to believe the right thing to do about ‘all of the meanness’ was simply ignore it, she reflects. ‘Now I’ve come to feel differently, because I think that the way that our president and many people around him have not only mainstreamed hate, but mainlined it, is so deeply dangerous.’ Her eyes fill with dismay as she cites the rising reports of bullying in schools catalogued by the Southern Poverty Law Centre. ‘Not just the hundreds but now thousands of instances in schools across America, where children are citing the president as they’re demeaning a little girl, or they’re chanting “Build a wall” in an attempt to demean and degrade brown children.’”

There ya go, folks. Donald Trump is the reason bullying happens in schools. Lest we forget. It’s all about the hatred for women and “brown children.” By a man who hires women and marries immigrants. Truly grotesque.
