Is Solar Texas’ Next Big Energy Source?

In the latest issue of Fiscal Notes, we examine the small but growing Texas solar industry — including manufacturers, installers, salespeople and others — that brings power to an increasing number of the state’s homes and businesses. Texas has 532 solar companies and about 8,900 Texans working in the field, and the outlook for further growth looks bright.

The April issue also highlights the wild world of “cryptocurrencies” such as Bitcoin. The value of these highly speculative investments skyrocketed in 2017, but prices have fallen sharply in recent months. Is Bitcoin here to stay, or are we watching the collapse of the biggest bubble in history?
