Governor Abbott Appoints Burgess Judge Of The 352nd Judicial District Court

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Josh Burgess as judge of the 352nd Judicial District Court in Tarrant County for a term set to expire December 31, 2018, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Josh Burgess as judge of the 352nd Judicial District Court in Tarrant County for a term set to expire December 31, 2018, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
 
Josh Burgess of Fort Worth is an assistant United States attorney serving as an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force prosecutor, and previously served as an assistant staff judge advocate for the United States Air Force. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a mock trial coach at Covenant Classical School. He is also a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Federalist Society. Burgess was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force with the rank of major and received a Bachelor of Arts from Biola University and a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee School of Law.
