Europe’s far right parties are in some cases the most pro-Israel political entities on the continent. Some of the shift to pro-Israel sentiments is simple opportunism, and some is motivated by common cause against radical Islam. But there are some leaders of the European right in Germany and Austria who look to the Jewish State for inspiration. That really is the world turned upside-down.
