Beto O’Rourke will lead a march through El Paso tonight and then speak at an event at 8 p.m. Central Time — the same time as President Donald Trump’s El Paso rally. Watch it live here, courtesy of KTSM.
The march, which will feature other speakers, is intended to highlight El Paso’s strength as a binational community and push back against Trump’s long-sought border wall. The president is expected to make a case for a border wall in his Monday night rally.
O’Rourke’s rally arrives as he nears a decision on whether to join the Democratic race to challenge Trump in 2020. The former Democratic congressman told Oprah Winfrey earlier this month that he would make a decision by the end of February.
